Inkjet printers are mainly classified as follows:

Continuous inkjet technology (CIJ Printer), also known as small character inkjet printer.

1. Printing principle:

Under the pressure of the ink supply pump, the ink passes through the nozzle, and then breaks into ink droplets by the vibration of the piezoelectric crystal. The jetted ink stream continues to move downward and passes through the charging electrode to be charged, where the ink droplets are separated from the ink line. The charging electrode charges the ink droplets with electrostatic charges. Then, the ink droplets pass through the electrostatic field between the two high-voltage deflection plates. According to the magnitude of the electrostatic charge carried by each ink droplet, each charged ink The flying direction of the drops will be deflected, and the ink drops that do not need to be printed are not applied with electrostatic charge. These ink drops will be collected through the recovery tube and returned to the ink tank for recycling. The charged and deflected ink droplets fall on the object at a certain speed and angle to form various characters or patterns required.

Drop On Demand(DOD) technology is divided into: thermal foaming inkjet technology, piezoelectric inkjet technology, solenoid valve inkjet technology.

Thermal inkjet printer, referred to as TIJ.

1. Printing principle:

Through thin film resistors, a very small amount of ink is heated in the ink ejection area to generate bubbles. The bubble slowly grows larger to squeeze the ink out of the nozzle to form ink droplets, and the larger bubbles force the ink droplets to be ejected from the nozzle. When the bubble continues to grow larger, it bursts, and the ink in the nozzle is refilled. The process is repeated to eject ink droplets, and various characters or patterns can be printed.

2. Advantages

a. High resolution, can provide high-precision printing quality.

b. The effect is good, the technology of mixing water-based and oil-based dyes is used, and the printing effect is good.

c. High speed, high quality printing can be achieved at high speed.

d. Easy to maintain, the ink cartridge combines the nozzle with ink, no need to fill the ink messily, can be replaced quickly, and the maintenance is simple.

Piezoelectric inkjet technology, referred to as PIJ.

1. Printing principle:

The print head consists of 128 or more piezoelectric crystals to control multiple nozzle holes on the nozzle. Through the processing of the CPU, voltage is applied to the piezoelectric crystal to cause high-speed and slight deformation, thereby pressing the ink in the nozzle . Then, the piezoelectric crystal returns to its original shape, and new ink enters the nozzle due to the surface tension of the ink. The process is repeated to eject ink droplets, and various characters or patterns can be printed.

2. Advantages

a. High resolution, stronger control of ink droplets, more regular ink drop shapes, more accurate positioning, and higher precision printing.

b. High-quality, the main physical form of squeezing makes the ink eject without chemical influence, ensuring the quality of the ink and the printing effect.

c. High speed, high quality printing can be achieved at high speed.

d. Cost-saving. In the micro-piezoelectric ink head, the nozzle and the ink cartridge have a separate structure. When replacing the ink, only the ink cartridge needs to be replaced instead of the print head, which is easy to maintain and can reduce related costs.

Solenoid valve inkjet technology, also known as large character inkjet printer.

1. Printing principle:

The print head is composed of multiple sets of high-precision micro solenoid valves. The content information to be printed is processed by the main board, and then the relevant electrical signals are output to the micro solenoid valve. The valve opens and closes quickly, and the ink is ejected into ink dots by relying on the constant internal pressure. The ink dots form characters or graphics on the surface of the moving printed matter.

2. Advantages:

a. Large-character logo, which can be printed on the outer packing box or large workpieces, such as thick water pipes or asbestos boards and other objects with large characters.

b. Extend the printing range. By adjusting the parameters of the inkjet printer, the printing range can be expanded from large characters to small characters and high-resolution inkjet printers.

c. It can realize high-speed printing.

Laser printer

1. Printing principle:

The laser beam is concentrated on the surface of the marked object with a very high energy density, and the surface material is vaporized by burning and etching, and the effective displacement of the laser beam is controlled to accurately engrave the pattern or text.

2. Advantages:

a. The marking effect is obvious and difficult to be erased.

b. The printing is clean and clean, and does not produce pollutants to the human body and the environment.
